WESTON Awarded Worldwide Security, Disaster, Infrastructure, Construction Contract

WEST CHESTER, PA — November 20, 2008 – Weston Solutions, Inc. (WESTON®) announced today the award of a Worldwide Security, Disaster, Infrastructure, Construction contract (SDIC) by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District. WESTON is one of three companies selected under this multiple-award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) program. The contract has a potential shared value of up to $490 million, is available for use by all Federal Agencies, and allows work to be performed anywhere in the world.

The ID/IQ contract has a 2-year basic ordering period, with a 3-year option. The work will include a variety of time-sensitive construction activities including response to natural or man-made disasters; response to security protection needs for defense against terrorist attack; protection against threats and hazards to national security or the public interest; and construction/infrastructure upgrades at facilities for all federal agencies. Some work may be performed at classified locations. In support of these various construction activities, ecological/environmental and munitions response actions may also be performed.

Patrick G. McCann, WESTON President and CEO stated, “WESTON has worked in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Omaha District on similar time-critical projects since 1991. This SDIC contract award builds upon that valuable relationship of trust and the Corps’ confidence in our ability to provide quality integrated services worldwide.” He continued, “We look forward to helping them achieve their time-critical construction challenges in support of their worldwide mission.”

WESTON has successfully served the Corps on a variety of time-critical projects, most recently the design and construction of two temporary pump stations needed for flood control protection in New Orleans. Completed on time, in advance of the 2007 Hurricane Season, these pumps were recently used to successfully provide flood control during Hurricane Gustav in September 2008. The SDIC contract will enable WESTON to further expand its services, leveraging its depth of resources and strong engineering capabilities to ensure reliable project execution.

WESTON is teamed with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) and Arrowhead Contracting Inc., a small disadvantaged, Native American business, to further support the scope of work.
